308 do all?

ok coyotes to elk or moose   i say 168 grain tsx will do it            ideas?????????????????

Yup, 308 will do it all... so will my 260, 6.5x55, 270, 7/08, 7x57, 30/06 anonanonanon up to my 45/70.  What's your point?   ;D

Yea it oughta get er done with that bullet.  Just put it in the lung heart area and meat on the table.  Either that or the '06 either way.

How much expansion would you get with the tsx at 308 velocities?  I've heard they don't expand well unless the velocity is pretty high.  I have never used them so I have no experience with the expansion or lack there of.  Just wondering how that would work out if you had a long shot.  May just get a 30 cal hole straight thru which could mean a long tracking job with little blood to follow.  Of course that would also make them a little more fur friendly on the yotes.

308 with a good bullet will kill about anything.

In the TSX the 150g might give better performance.
Velocity is king with them.

Are you guys telling me that The Barnes TSX doesn't expand like the XBT's do? If so why buy them? I use the 30808 130 grain XBT in my 30-30 at speeds under 2600fps and this bullet does a number on whitetails, and really opens up even at 1000 fps. The TSX don't open up? Say it ain't so.......................

well i was looking for one bullet to buy  and load for a 308win   from muzzle to 250 yrds    yotes to moose     ok so  the 150 tsx seems to get the nod

heck if it wont open i wonder if you could use the 150 gr FN that is made for the 30/30 ??? dunno   just a thought
