Marbles Sights On Contender
« on: February 05, 2008, 08:21:59 AM »
Has anyone ever outfitted their Contenders with Marbles sights? If so, which?

Thank you.

I am not sure what you are asking. The Marbles TANG sight would need a "tang" to attach to. This COULD work on the carbine stock but not on the handgun contender stock. There IS a product called "One Ragged Hole" sight that is made for Revolvers. It seems to work well enough for targets, but leaves much room for improvement in the hunting field. There is another sight that fits on a Weaver style base. I believe this one is made for a rifle and might be too small for use on a handgun. It's made by NECG (new england custom guns)  If you find a suitable aperature sight for the contender please let me know about it.

I wasn't really considering the tang sight. I was thinking more of the sights with the fibre optic inserts.

A guy at the range cobbled up a fiber optic Muzzle loader sight on his 14" 35 Remington contender. He was still trying to get it sighted in when I ran out of ammo and went home. He could not get it low enough OR keep it centered enough to consistently hit a foot square target at 100 yards.

I appreciate your input and will probably stay with factory sights.
