School Shooting in Portsmouth, OH
« on: February 07, 2008, 07:18:49 AM »
Many of you may have heard, there has been a shooting at an elementary school in Portsmouth, OH this morning.  You can read about it here:

www.wsaz.com

A teacher was shot and stabbed in her classroom by an outside person suspected of domestic dispute with this teacher.  He also shot a second person elsewhere in the city and then barricaded himself in his house.  The police have him surrounded and are awaiting a swat team.  This was the last update I heard.  I'm sure more will come of the story soon.

This is about a half hour from where I live.  I'm sure we'll be hearing about gun control soon...
I'm an accountant and I carry a gun...'nuff said

So much for the effectiveness of gun free school zones by law.  Didn't seem to work in this case or any others that I know.  Just another excuse to limit firearms possession.
Greg lost his battle with cancer last week on April 2nd 2009. RIP Greg. We miss you.
