I had accidentally searched the site on yahoo and I found this link. It is like a summary of the site and what it is about. Check it out. Strange. http://www.quantcast.com/gboreloaded.com
The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind

Look at the difference in their description of Graybeardoutdoors.com, the same site, so much for their demographics!

  What balderdash !
Sounds like typical liberal "made up " demographics..

Their demographics lie to themselves..they claim most posters on GB are Caucasian (which I don't doubt)..but their own bar graph claims "other" as the largest group.
After all the groups mentioned ..just what is this huge group of "other" composed of ?

They say many of us are NRA..wow! ..brilliant deduction... :P

Then they do the "liberal thing" and purport to know our incomes, gender, age, and that we tune to "firing line"....when our profiles either do not show that info or
that same info slot..such as gender and age are often not even filled in .

So they must have done a lot of "guessing" !

There are a few things they could have safely guessed at and stood a good chance of being correct about. Things like politics (lib or conserv), sexual orientation,
patriotism, logical or emotional in decisions, stand on individual rights..and many other things..but they didn't venture "guesses" there.

BTW: Being more honest than them, I cannot say I know the gender split between posters..but I have a gut feeling they are way off base !

I don't tune to firing line...and I wonder how they could come up with such info..quite obviously it is "made up"... ::)

To rating/ranking sites such as that www.graybeardoutdoors.com and www.gboreloaded.com are actually two completely different sites as they are two different domains we own. The first is the Home Page of the site and some related content whereas the latter is the Forums part of GBO. For the full picture of what we are you must add the two together really.

How they come up with some of that stuff is a mystery since we nowhere ask members to provide such info. I think they are pulling it from a dark hole where the sun don't shine for the most part.  ;D

The gender and race thing have no value really due to the fact most just don't fill out those particulars in their profile. That's why the "other" category is so large. If you've not indicated it in your profile then you are other for both.

Check it out some time.  They have good articles on different pistols and revolvers.  Here lately they had an article where they tested a Freedom Arms and a Custom Ruger Single Six both chambered in the new .327 Federal Magnum.  Pretty cool stuff.

That simply amazes me. That they are just guessing about us. About the only thing I think they have right is the age of our members. The only reason I know they have that right is because of the thread I started on the average age of our members. Dale

The dangerous part is that some people will see these statistics and embrace them as the gospel. It happens too often and then the down hill slide begins. "They wouldn't let them put it on TV if it wasn't true, right Dad?"
