Is the G2 better than a contender ?

 I have a Conteneder from about 1995 , is the new G2 enough of an improvement over the contender I already have to be a worth while purchase ? Thanks

I have and like them both.  I guess I wouldn't go out of my way to replace my original Contenders.  When the G2s first came out some of the Contender shooters were so down on them I offered to trade my old ones for new ones, and no one took me up on it.  I have an individual use for each of my frames and see no need to change much of anything at this point.

I have one G2, one older old style that I had metaloyed, and a newer old style like new.  I prefer the G2. I have offered the like new older style for FTF trade for the G2 and never had any takers here in Ohio. You'll find that people hate change. The trigger argument is baseless too. My G2 has an equal feeling trigger as both my older frames.

Now you guys know if its older its got to be better.

Any anything out of production is more desirable. Just the way it is.

Don't try to confuse me with facts either.

And no I don't want and encore either.

I have one of each and wouldn't give up one over the other.  I prefer the original regarding aesthetics.
