I've seen one but never owned one. All of my personal 7 TCUs were 10". Your best bet really is to get one thru the Custom Shop as their barrels are very accurate and they will as far as I know still make you up one in any chambering TC has ever made as a factory round and some they never did as well. Price is much better than going the full custom route and likely will be just as accurate.

yes , Maine, I have  10, 14 and 21" 7tc/u barrels. So I know they were made. They do not all like the same loads though! Each barrel is different and the chambers are NOT exactly the same. I have killed a few deer with each and the 21" is the best of the group. I am sorry to say ,it is NOT for sale or trade.

Midwayusa.com had TC make a special run of them recently but no longer has any in stock.

After you check with the TC Custom Shop, be sure and check matchgrademachine.com as well. It will only run you a few bucks more than than TC factory barrel. Even ordering from MGM only takes 4-5 weeks, and the quality is simply superb. They currently have a couple of 24" 7-30 Waters barrels that are ready to ship and are $350, but they do not have a 7 TCU that is ready to roll.

Thanks for the help! Custom Shop, MGM,and Midway, can all help me out, with Midway having the most economical deal at this time.
Thanks again,

I have a 10" scoped 7MM TCU pistol and it amazes me with the accuracy and velocity.  It should be a great round for the carbine.  Wish I had one!  I buy the brass on one of the auction services since it is more a pain to make than it's worth.  It's readily available.

I have both a 10" and a 21 " 7 TCU barrel and both shoot great. While I agree that trimming cases is a pain, try a RCBS file trim die, works for me and more consistant than rotary trimmers.MHO Alan

You guys should try some CAST bullets in your 7TC/U's. You can get a couple EXTRA fps from the cast over what a lighter jacketed will get.  I get around 2000 to 2100 fps from a 120 Jacketed and a 145cast gets above 2300 and with a 135 grain Lyman I can get nearly 2400 fps. That is a lyman#2 alloy, and gas checked, both bullets. They are accurate and will drop deer almost instantly.  Even a straight Wheel Weight bullet will exceed 2000 fps in MY guns.

I use two MGM barrels in 7 TCU, 13" 1 in 9 twist and 22" 1 in 11 twist. The 1 in 11 was ordered for shooting 100-120 gn bullets and works great!  120 nosler BT's  over a max load of H322 and Fed 205 primers = 2700 fps in my G-2.  The longer throat in the 13" performs best w/ 140 nosler BTs and varget and RL15 give best accuracy and velocity @ 2200 fps.
