I have a Pedersoli 1874  if the rear sight is set at 0 at 1/2" for 200yds.  with a sight distance of 34" thin what might  it be for 300yd and 400yds  at the moment I am using 405 gr bullets.

P.P.,

Like Marsh said, it's kinda hard to say without a posted velocity. Best bet anyway is to set up your targets at these known distances and get a sight-setting for your bullet/powder load. I have found some sights don't need a lot of adjustment ( depends on the caliber/bullet/powder-load) between these known yardages. Lots of variables is right.
Best of luck,
