It's $385 at my dealer, since it's the first stainless framed H&R, the price is gonna be higher,  there'll be one in my collection if they actually make it.

Same price at my local in PA Tim.  Very nice, I will eventually have one if they ship.  I'll replace the stock tho. Darned righties!!! :P  I think the price is expected with the all stainless and lam TH stocks.  Very nice indeed.  Wished it had sights.  I guess one could drill and tap the for the front.  But, are there any SS peeps and fronts?  No of course not. >:(  I'll have to use black alum on my pretty SS barrel. I have been trying to come up with a way to assemble a very weather proof handi.  The 45-70 ultra was almost there except I don't want a scope if its pouring down rain, which has been the case just about every hunting chance I get for a while now.    ?     Will the reciever have SS guts as well?

I looked closer at the pic, I quess the black would look ok since it appears the hammer and trigger will not be a silver color.  I guess that tells me what the guts will be.

If you really want all SS, polished steel would look ok on the sights, but the trigger guard and spacer will still be plastic unless you paint them or replace them, I polished the H&R blued steel trigger guard and spacer for my all ss looking 30-06. ;D Doesn't really matter tho on it, I like black scopes and rings on the few ss rifles I own, it also has nickel pins, trigger, hammer and ext.

Been retired since Nov 2002, the rifle was a standard nickel framed, SS barreled/synthetic stocked 30-06 that I bought from another member here, I put the lam stock set and metal hardware on it.  ;) If a fella wanted to, the aluminum scope rail could be polished for an all SS appearance.

thx,

Tim
