H&K HK4 problem
« on: February 17, 2008, 06:18:54 AM »
after a couple years of trying to find a new recoil buffer for my hk4 i finally decided to make one for it out of a peice of hard teflon . i filed and sanded it into the correct shape and thickness and installed it in the gun along with the metall buffer plate. seemed to work fine for a couple of clips and then came out later while i was cycleing the action.is the buffer supposed to be glued onto the frame of the gun? is the metal buffer plate glued to the plastic recoil buffer? if so what kind of glue would be the best to use?it appears the the buffer takes a heck of a beating from the front of the slide just by looking at the impact marks already on it from just a few rounds thru it. any help from anybody familiar with these guns would be greatly appreciated.
