The G2 frame was ordered as a 22 rimfire and I noticed the bulge on the cases immediatly. I had the older frame so I put the barrel on it and started shooting it in local silhouette matches. I then ordered a 30-30 barrel from Ed's TC and realized the headspace was just too much to use with confidence. I used gauge tape to measure the gap. You close the action on the tape and measure it where it came in contact with the breech face. The gap is easily noticable. Years ago I had a 44 magnum barrel that did the same thing in a much worse way, .045 gap but in this case it was the barrel. It actually shot okay but I just didn't like it.
