cz 527 trigger job
« on: February 20, 2008, 02:57:24 PM »
how adjustable are the triggers in the 527?
thinking about one in 223
I like just a simple, clean, no take up, clean break at 2lb trigger like is easy to do in a Tikka or Sako without having to use the set trigger function
I have a 452 American that I did the trigger job from brooks.. piece of cake

thanks

on my cz 527 the trigger is adjustable for everything included is the single set .But it has not been touched the single set pull is real light and the standard is about 3 lbs. with a short pull and no creep.
if I were to change anything it would be to make the set a little heaver  It is so light you just rub it.
I love it

;D The 527 trigger is wonderful.  The regular trigger can be adjusted to slightly below two pounds.  There is a lot of side-to-side play, though.  If you don't pull straight back, it can feel like creep.
Even though the set trigger is so beautifully light, the fact that you push it forward creates a very looooong overtravel.  Some people might not like that.  From a rest, it really doesn't matter.
Oh, and jeclif, I think you can make the set trigger at least a little bit heavier if you adjust the set screw that is visible from inside the trigger guard directly in front of the trigger blade.  ;)
