I just bought a pound of BL-C(2) because it was all the store had that was suitable for my 350 Rem Mag. When I went to load I noticed that it was a ball powder and it was really tedious to weigh and trickle, so I decided to use my measure. This was the first time I've ever used a measure for rifle loads and I was pleased that the whole process went faster. So I loaded for my 308 Win too, 70 rounds loaded up within an hour.
Questions/Issues
1) Using a good powder measure it still varied up to 1/2 gr, seems acceptable
2) Not likely to ever have compressed loads, my first time with non compressed loads, is it OK to have so much extra space?
3) Do I need to use magnum primers?
