Few questions

I just got an hha sport triple threat t 500 for my browning trophy flite.  Well my old 3 pin sight had my pins about 3/4 or an inch between my 20 and 30 yard pin.  So the triple threat is set up 20 25 30.  My question is, my bow is at 50# right now, do you think uping it to 55# will make it possible to go back to 10 yard increments?

If it helps i am also shooting carbon arrows with 125 grain points.  Do you think i should switch to something lighter, would that be better, i mean 50# is conforable right now as im a beginner and getting used to holding steady.

Another question.  The cables were replaced on this bow about 5 years ago and hadnt been shot with much, they look brand new but around the hooks i noticed that it almost looks like stretching like the cables stretched out of the hook a little, also slight cracks in the part of the hook that holds the cables in.  Does this sound like a huge problem? dangerous i mean

The string im going to get changed before next season, should i do cable as well

I would suggest you go ahead and replace the cables.  A lot of factors come in to play here: how the bow was stored, what the cables are  made out of, if they were waxed well ect.  Most likely the have stretched despite not shooting it, the cables still have a lot of pressure on them and will stretch.

As for the sight I cannot tell on line but it says each pin can be adjusted, I am assuming not very much if you cannot get but 5 yd increments.  Check the sizing charts on line at easton or else where and see if you can go up in lbs or down in shaft size.  Just turn up the lbs and see, you will adjust to the extra wt faster than you think ( if you shoot often).  I personally do not like this style of site and would suggest perhaps a different sight ( I know not what you want to hear)  It should be possible to get back to 10 yd increments but may not be with this sight

Go ahead and replace the sting and cables now so you will have plenty of time to paper tune and set your site and practice with a properly set up bow before the season begins.

funny you should say that, i kind of like this sight but im also starting not to like it due to little adjustment, and with the downward hanging pin it is a little hard to see.  I was actually thinking about going with a single pin movable sight

That is what I shoot.  That is what I started with and have tried others but went back to this type.  I also shoot the HHA ol-3000 I think but will have to look--it looks like the 5000 I found on line.  The funny thing is after doing a complete setup change--everything but the bow,  I am now not able to get it low enough at 20 yds, in fact I will have to check it but it will probably be close to dead on at more like 30yds at the lowest position possible.  I really like the sight so may change my peep sight or just lower the lbs down.  I just up it to 70lbs again which is no big deal to go down, the bow just shoots its best all the way down.
