We actually have been thinking of contacting one of those types to see about them advertising here. Heck they take out full page ads in most every shooting/hunting magazine it seems they should love this place since it's full of old farts. Iffen I wuz a salesman I'd have already contacted them but I'm really not so tend to wait for companies to contact me about advertising.

What we really need is a first rate salesman to pitch the site to advertisers for a cut of the income. So far we've found no one who specializes in that.

ever think because...just, maybe, perhaps...people think it aint none of yer business? what does it matter anyway? people come here to discuss what they want, and the exacting details of ones self dont mean alot. i dont need to know how fat or skinny, tall or short, poor or rich, in-and-out of someones life to get to know their personality. that is what is cool about this stuff, you are judged on your behavior and nothing else. why put stock in all the other stuff that doesnt matter? it just seems sillly to me. especially when you take offense that people dont care to share that information with you.

I probably would have articulated it a little differently, but I was thinking along the same lines........these are somewhat personal questions that don't really have anything to do with our interest in outdoor activities.

The numbers are a little hard for me to figure because of the way the graphs are set up. It would be easier for me at least if they were straight percentages. As it is they set 100 as the average for Internet users. So GBO has more men and less women than the average Internet site, but what is the actual breakdown.
The same for the age representation. I expect that it would take a lot of users to make much of a change in say the 20 to 30 age range because of the extremely high numbers of Internet users in that bracket. On the other hand, it wouldn't take many to make a substantial change in the 70 to 80 range.

BY the way here on GBO we use the term "gender". The proper response when a questionnaire asks "sex ?" is Y or N, not M or F.
