i told my wife i wanted an encore and she got me one. no problem there. but she got me the thumb-hole stock in real tree and got the barrel in .243.  i can not stand it. it shoots great but its not what i need.  i need to know how much it would cost to get the barrel re-chambered to 7mm rem and get some standard walnut stock and fore end.

Well, you won't be able to get the .243 barrel rechambered in 7mm.  Your best bet is to either sell the .243 barrel and stock set outright, or try and trade it to another member for what you are looking for.  The board has a T/C classifieds section, so I recommend posting the barrel and stock set and see what type of response you get.
