One reason to have plenty-o-manuals on hand
« on: February 27, 2008, 04:04:13 PM »
Monday night I needed to make up some 44 magnums to practice with but was out of Keith bullets and CCI 350 primers, the basis of my usual practice load. But I did have some RNFB cast bullets and Winchester WLPs on hand. So I needed some data to make a load with. Fortunately I had a manual for that combination and was able to get the loads made.

As it turns out, the load uses the same amount of Win 296 that I have used in my other practice load, but I like to see load data in print instead of just coming up with something on my own.

that said , some manuals will list a jacketed bullet and a primer size often with out ref. to brand . where bullet co. manuals are exact . to primer and bullet . the Lee manual i have is non committal on brand name of bullets . A practice that could lead a novice to think component's are interchangeable .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
