Need advice for a good bear hunting outfitter

Last year I hunted with the Auld Reekie Lodge in Ontario.  They were great and I'd go back but they are already booked up for this year. 

Does anyone have another bear hunting guide/lodge that they would recommend? 

I'd prefer Ontario because it can be closer to home, but it could be anywhere.

I'd also prefer something that had fishing nearby, but it doesn't have to be.

I appreciate your help.

Go to PB guide Service and check them out.They are in north western Maine on Canadian border.Guide is Paul Beauregard.
I'll be going the 2nd week of fall this year which is Sept 1st thru 7th.

Check out Rock's Hunt Camp at Hornepayne (Ont.).  They have a new owner whom I have not hunted with yet but Nick sounds like a great guy.  I hunted there before and they do have some good bear country.  Rev

Currently the one that's highest on my list is Fox's Den on Dog Lake in Ontario.  I've never hunted with them and I'm looking into references for now.

Ditto on PB. Paul runs the best operation in Maine and in the best area in Maine. Its hell getting there but well worth the pain. Just make sure you have a 4x4 with good clearance and heavy duty off-road or 5 ply or better tires on all corners. You will need and use those tires like never before.

I checked their web site but did not see any mention of price for spring or fall bear hunts. What do they charge and did you hunt in the spring or fall? Average bear size during the weeks that you were there would be helpful to know.

I went in the fall on the first week of the season both times. My first bear was 150 lbs but I chose that one because of the white patches on the chest. Pic is on the website. My second trip I took a 250 lb boar. If you email him he will send you the prices. He's really good at getting back to you. My bear was the biggest that week on my second trip. The biggest my first trip was 287 lbs these are live weights. The bears are weighed before they're gutted. The spring hunts are on an Indian reservation and this would be the second season that its been ever hunted. Those bears are big 300 + . The bears he took the first season were huge and broke several state records. The big ones are there if you're patience. Most of the guys that hunted with me those weeks were first timers and shot the first ones they saw. Hope this helps.

 If it is fox den lodge in Ontario  DON'T go there.  I hunted bear there and it was terrible. Neverf even put any baits out untill I got there. Needless to say it was a bust. I've been taken twice in Ontario so be careful who you pick. My advice is to go to Manitoba. It's not a matter of shooting a bear, just picking the one you want.

It is Fox's Den Ontario on Dog Lake.  What was so terrible about it?  The guy I talked to said that everyone got a bear last year.

 Y0u  might be going to a different place. My complaint was they had no baits set up at all ! Didn"t put out any bait, if you want to call it that' Untill we got there. The first evening I was sitting in a boat 50 yds in fron of a cabin with a few slices of bacon on a rock. Theboat rocked so hard in the waves I couldn"t hit one anyway at that distance with a bow.

 And the second time I went, it was the same story with a different outfitter. I also got ripped in MB and Wyoming. Do your home work before going !

Country Boy,
  Tell me more about exactly what Fox's Den outfitter you hunted with that put up such a crumby hunt.  If I got sat in a row boat 50 yards from shore I'd be furious and I'd let my guide know it.  We are going to be using tree stands that he already has set up and we'll be there during rifle season.  What lake were you hunting off of?  Were you able to drive up to the lodge?
