Have we all forgotten a long held tenant that politicians represent the people?
Here's an idea, lets tell our representatives , not this forum, or our drinking buds, or the guy on the other lane at the bowling alley, but our elected officials that they need to K-O this immigiration crap. Don't assume that anyone else is doing it.
Maybe, just maybe, they will get the message and change the way they are voting.
Maybe, just maybe, McCain will change his view also.
People think that voting for someone sends a mandate. You need to let them know, point blank, that you have expectations. People think that not voting for them is the only way to send a message. Its not, phone them, write them, or email them. Chances are, they are not GBO members.
If you need help finding who your elected officials are, I'll be more than glad to help, but we know its just a click a way, and nearly 99.9% of the electorate have a website. Believe it or not, your emails get read, and they often answer them. It shouldn't take much of your time to look them up online and drop them a note. Just be civil.
I'm curious how many people who complain that McCain is too liberal for the Republican party actually get involved with the party, or have any clue how their local reps are voting.
