combo cheek pad/cartridge carrier
« on: February 29, 2008, 12:27:01 PM »
I recently purchased a handi-rifle in 30-30 with the traditional stock...not monte carlo...does anyone know of a manufacturer  who makes a cartridge sleeve for the stock with a built in cheek pad...seems there should be one out there...this would save buying a new stock....its ok as is, but a raised comb would bring the stock into perfect scope alignment...thanks!

Get one of the neoprene cartridge holders and put some additional foam under it to build up the comb a little, they're stretchy, so it would be easy to do.  ;)

Here's the pic's I promised. As I said I've agreed to help this old fellow out and take care of shipping an orders(he doesn't own a computer or TV) GB yours is being made right now. Let me know if ya want one and if ya want Left or Right hand? $65 will get one shipped USPS Priority mail in CUSA. Does not include horn bolo or gel pads. It's designed to give ya about 1/2" to pad behind the crescent but plate. I apologize for the bad photos.

I put a 1/4" neoprene mouse pad under one (was that your idea, Tim?).  It works great on a 12 gauge for me.  The neoprene is grippy enough not to let the ammo carrier slide around too.
