The Blue Grouse kits.  Does anyone have one of these?  What do you think of it?  Well made? Accurate?  Thank you

Blue Grouse is out of business.

No one answers the phone and email is returned as undeliverable.

But, yes they were nice guns.

Bruce is live and well.   He isn't building rifles as such these days.  He does have H&A locks.  His current email is brling@comcast.net.  Also try 1 877 301-0708.  It took a couple of weeks but I finally talked to him.  I would love to build up a rifle around that action.  I found everything else at www.longrifles-pr.com .  Even a Green Mtn barrel with a 1:20 " twist for LRBP.  Entire rifle can be built for under 6/C.

It will be end of summer before I can finish current projects so keep me posted if anyone follows up on this!

Contact Deer Creek Products at 1-765-525-6181.  They bought the barrel making machinery when Douglas dropped black powder barrels, and I have heard they are every bit as good as the Green Mountain barrels.  They made the H&A underhammer in kit form until last year, when the guy who was assembling them for them quit.  I believe they will still sell you everything you need to put one together though.

Their address is P.O. Box 246, Waldron, IN 46182.

Let us know what you find out!
