I also thought that a suppressd .22 would be neat. The only problem is that most .22 LR rounds are supersonic. I went to a local class 3 manufacturer and tried out a couple of suppressed .22s. With regular ammo, they weren't all that quiet. Definately more quiet than a regular rifle, but would still draw attention. With CB longs, they were very quiet. The bullet hitting the target was louder than the shot. I finally decided that it just wasn't worth the trouble. The full auto, suppressed 10-22 he had was really neat. Now a suppressed .44 Mag running a 250-300gr cast at about 1000fps would be a whole 'nother ball game :-D >>>>>>>Bug.
