model 36 and lasar sight
« on: March 04, 2008, 07:39:55 AM »
Hello
I have a model 36 Square butt revolver that I am considering to install a lasar sight on.
They are readily available for the round butt style, but not for mine.
Does anyone know of a source ?
thanks
Frank

Kragman, As far as I know there are no laser grips available for a SB J.  I have a Mod 37 SB, so I understand your problem.  The only solution to this is to have a 'smith RB your gun.  Drastic, I know but it is a solution. :'(

Take the grips off and look at the butt and you'll know rat away if round or square. If you just gotta have laser grips and I do agree they are the best choice then perhaps you need to just trade guns.

Hello Bill I took a picture of the "butt" and I guess I don't know the difference. Can you tell? Thanks, Charlie

That's a round butt. Notice how rounded it is in the right side of your image. A square butt would just continue that line minus the rounded area and end squared off.
