I tentatively plan on picking up at least one later in the month, gotta pay off the CZ82's first.  I see that Midway has the Redding dies on sale right now so I'll have to order those too.

Got a walnut and beech a couple of years ago when they were a good buy. I noticed in the last flyer they have gone up in price about 100% since I ordered mine.  Mine came with tags under the butt plate but I noticed Samco charges extra for the tags now.   Scoped one and planned to hunt with it but just punched paper so far.  I had to put a elastic shell holder on the stock and stuff it with foam to bring my eye in line with the scope.  They are still great guns for the money.

I bought 3 of them a while back, for 99 bucks each. Just picked up another 100 pieces of Grafs brass at gun show for 44 bucks. Very high quality guns and a joy to shoot.

Mine is fun to shoot. But the cost is getting outrageous. I just shoot paper with it.

Love mine. Got it when it first came out with a walnut stock. It is a great deer rifle. This year, it took a doe at 200 yards with no problem. I get my brass from Grafs.

I love my K31 too! The stock looks like it got a beating from a chimpanzee with a ball
peen hammer, but the metal is pristine. So is the bore. The Swiss really maintain their
equipment well. It is definitely the most accurate mil-surp that I own. I  am planning
to put an Accumount no gunsmith scope mount on it soon. It should have no problem
shooting 1" groups at 100 yards with Swiss G11 ammo. I really like this rifle! ;D

No one wanted these when the ammo wasn't available. I managed to get a few at $79.  I have walnut and beech stocks.  They cleaned up great too. The marks on the bottom of the stocks is from being frozen in the snow, they just kicked them loose.  There is the orginal owners name under the butt plates too.

Got one a few years back. They are sort of different to load for but once you get the gist of what they need they are no more difficult than anything else. They are truly works of art.
People are like slinkies, they serve no purpose yet they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

You know were talking 3/4" groups @ 100yds using swiss surplus match grade ammo.

I think the top surplus military bolt action rifles are;

1. Swiss K31
2. Swede 6,5mm mauser
3. Finnish mosin
4. Russian mosin
5. German mauser
6. Britt 303 enfield
7. 03 springfield

I could be one number off on my rating but its just my opinion.  I still like my swede CG M96 1907 the best.

I think I like them, I own 6 of them and have pieced together a 7th that I am only missing a trigger guard and magazine to complete.[img]  If I wasn't broke I would own way more than that.   I picked up a couple from Aim Surplus a couple of years ago for $69.99 each, wish I had ordered more.  They were supposed to be the bottom of the barrel at that time, so I only ordered 2, but they came with a sling and have some of the best beech stocks I've seen.  The picture is of one of those, it's a '49.  The one that I am piecing together I'm going to mount a scope w/the clamp on mount and I am thinking about putting a damper on it.  I have an extra beech stock that I am going to sporterize for it and use it for my hunting rifle.  I also have a walnut stock and handguard for it if I want to put it back into military configuration.  They are definitely one of the best shooting rifles out there, even at what they are going for today.  If you are thinking about getting one, don't wait, you will not regret it.
