Red Dot question

I am interested in getting a red dot to put on a 22 magnum for my wife.  I see that the eye relief is variable.  Can anyone tell me what field of view they are getting on their rifles? And what red dot scope you are using?

only used a cheap bsa 30mm red dot on a couple .22s. just look thru the short tube with both eyes open. don't worry about eye relief cause it's like looking out a window. field of view doesn't matter either cause you got both eyes open. you see it all

WVHB, I have only used a Cabela's Pineridge reddot sight and that was on a Ruger Blackhawk revolver in 41mag.  I highly recommend this scope/sight, but don't remember FOV.  BTW, the info about leaving both eyes open when shooting a reddot is spot on unless you happen to use a reddot with magnifying lens'.   If FOV is an issue, the larger tube of some models will enhance FOV but they are more cumbersome.
