I just checked the NAFA sales results for my coon. I have a lot of excuses why I didn't trap more coon this fall and they are mine alone. This was not the first time I chose to pull up short and not trap hard do other fall things. It is also not the first time that the year I decide to be lazy about fur the price is up.
What am I trying to say here?

?
I'm very happy with what I saw for the price I received for my 15 coon.
Had I caught the usual 80 some coon I normal catch each fall I'd have had a pretty sweet fur check.
I'm sure this good sales news will have everyone that ever thought about killing a coon in the woods next fall.
Just like happened with the muskrats the fall of 2006.
Only time will tell? as for me I will as I have done for many years trap some of something next fall. I will again decide on a whim to stay out long and hard or pull traps to fish or hunt.
That is the beauty of free thinking.
