Anyone know about this cartridge or had any experience.  My 458mag is seaming a little tame and my 45-70's are getting boring and my 416 Encore pistol, well lets just say it's fun at the range (get lots of attention and I haven't found too many takers when I offer them a chance to shoot it.

Saw it while reading "Cartridges of the World"  looked awesome.  Did a webb search and all the information I could find was that it had 10,000ft-lbs of energy! :-D  This looks like the perfect round for controling those pesky rampant prarie poodles.

contact A Square Company, Col. Art Alphin.  He's the man who designed it, sells brass, ammo, dies and rifles.  Has printed a loading manual "Any Shot You Want".

I do not believe Col Alphin has much to do with A-Square anymore. One of his emoployees bought the company and was busy trying to fill old orders that went unfilled while AA had his trouble with ATF etc.
A-Square's website is www.a-squarecompany.com

As for the T-Rex it is a mammoth cartridge. In 1998 I went to the SHOT Show. I spent a little time talking to the people at the A-Square booth. I also bought a Dummy Round (just had to  ). Anyway, as near as I remember the specs are .585 dia, 750 gr bullet @ 2470 fps. A-Squares Load Manual lists charges of 180 gr of H-4831, 170 gr of IMR-4350, and 177.5 gr of RL-19 as being the max.

Brass Specs are: Case Length 2.99"
                          Base Diameter .688"
                          Cartridge OAL  3.710"
Now that is a round. Sean
