how much will it be
« on: March 09, 2008, 04:34:46 AM »
Have been thinking about hand loading more since i have my new rifle coming soon. What would it cost for the equipment to get set up right and have descent tools to start with. Will be reloading for a .308

Just looking for an idea on how much i will be spending if i decide too.

That depends on what your budget is , can be anywere from $ 50 to $ 1000 or more , take a look at this , it will give you some ideas as to what you'll be needing .

With reloading you pay for convenience.  Actually, you can load your 308 for around $15 with a Lee Loader but it takes a bit more time than I'm willing to put into it.  The more you pay, the easier it gets.  My advice is a kit from either RCBS or Lyman.  Either go for around $279 at my last check and both have all you need to load pistol or rifle with the exception of dies, powder, primers and bullets.
