Handi Style Barrel Channel Tool
« on: March 09, 2008, 11:32:27 PM »
Hello Guys

As I mentioned in "A Handi Weekend" I made up a barrel channel tool, necessity being the mother of invention, I doubt if I could buy a proper tool within a 1000 miles.

Here it is, simply a piece of aluminum (or steel or brass or plastic) attached to the blade from a Stanley surform #21-297.

It worked real good and cost peanuts. Probably not so good for barrels with a sharp change of taper but for anything else . . . the bees knees.

Cheers - Foster

:)  Yep, I like it!

Good idea for the handle.  ;)

Here's a link to JUST the blade itself: http://www.amazon.com/Stanley-21-291-10-Inch-Surform-Replacement/dp/B00002X1ZI
