Gov Spitzer about to resign....?
« on: March 10, 2008, 10:10:50 AM »
On the surface, it sounds like good news, but if he does he is likely to be replaced by a person MUCH more liberal than himself ! FoxNews says that his likely
replacement is so liberal he wants to deny police the right to shoot in self defense...Hmmmmm...

This should be a message to all who believe nobody could be worse than Pataki and all those who vote for CHANGE regardless of what kind of change.  I hope this lesson can be applied to upcoming federal election.

Yep!  ..It was Spitzer, in all his honesty, who wanted to hand driver's licenses to illegals..and of course, with a driver's license comes "motor voter" and the right to vote...
    Something to ponder....yes ?

Paterson?  Ha!  If spitzer actually resigns over this, possibly to avoid federal interstate prostitution charges and stay outta jail, Paterson would be sworn in to complete his term.  But, if you think for half a heartbeat that ol Joe Bruno would let paterson get anything done during this administration then you don't know ol Joe.  Mikey.

Paterson will likely finish out Spitzer's term and that is about all he will do. As one poster put it; Bruno will make sure that's all he does. After that Paterson will be a nobody and maybe we won't have to suffer a gun-grabbing liberal for a while. But who knows; this is NY, where Conservatives in the metro areas are about as rare as fresh air.

Hey Spitz! This is Bubba. I saw what happened to yall on the news (Even though Hillary told me several days ago; I just didn't believe her). Feelin sorry fer ya friend. If yudda asked I wudda told yall to stay away from that group of gals. They are bad news---trust me. Just find yerself a good comfy chiar and relax. Take a deep breath and have a real good cigar. I can send ya some if yer out. Feel  free to call ifin ya need anymore advice. Been there--done that.

Hey Frank - I like that one - Ol Number 9 - lolololol.

Hey - betcha all that he doesn't resign even though he may be called upon to do so by any number of factions, including the IJWL (Independent Jewish Women's League) (ha ha ha ha ha).

My wife bet me that he will probably cooperate with the federal investigation to avoid federal charges and prosecution and that will allow him to stay in office.  If the feds don't charge him and he doesn't face any charges as a result of his cooperation, he can go the same route as clinton (I did not have sex with that woman [she had sex with me.....]), or cuomo the senior (if it is so illegal then let the courts deal with it..........which they did) or cuomo the junior - I wasn't drivink that car (hic....) it wuz my gurlfren (hic), and play it to the end of his term.  He isn't stoopid enuf to try and run again, or maybe he is, but neu yawkers have a historically short memory regarding the activities (legal and otherwise) of their elected politicians.

Of course this is the finest example of neu yawk hypocrisy I have ever seen - "I will put a stake through his heart" said spitzer once in relation to his witch hunt on wall street crime (which included prostiution), only to be caught up in the same sordid scandal himself.

I told my wife I wanted to hear the outrage from the dumbocraptic rank and file - she said I would go deaf listening for it.  I wanted to hear hillary distance herself from 'Hookerman' as one of her campaign pictures showed the slick on on her right and Mr. Clean on her left but all she said was "I express my sympathy for the family".  Heck, if I was the family - Silda Spitzer, I would sue for at least half of what he has now and the rest later for emotional damages.

I just fail to understand why they drag their wives out in front of the camera and cause them to suffer the shame and embarrassment.  Kinda like Larry Craig - he rails against the gays but gets caught in an airport bathroom..........

I just seem to think the dumbocraps and their moral standards sort of occupy the low ground.

Now, I really want to hear what jesse jackson and fat al shapton have to say about this.  Mikey.

I think it is truly great that now the whole world can see him for the arrogant, self righteous, hypocritical idiot that many knew him to be all along. I don't normally enjoy saying "I told you so" but when he was running, I used these words to describe him in debates with my father's liberal friends who supported him. There aren't too many politicians I really despise, but he is #1 and Hillary is #2. Good to see one go down in flames. Hopefully she will soon follow.

He seemed to have violated banking laws and the Mann Act. Anyone of us would be in handcuffs by now. He's trying to cut a deal with the feds so he can retain his law license.
This guy has to be the biggest dunce-his brains seem to be below his belt buckle.

Bubba - you're absolutely right - that is exactly how the neu yawk liberals will see him however, he is done.  He is now, formally and forever outta the picture.

And what do they say - even a blind hog can find an acorn??  Looks like that's exactly what happened with paterson but he is just gonna finish out spitzer's term and then go home.  I don't know how he feels about having Joe Bruno up his backside - Joe would become the next governor if something happened to paterson, but paterson has already made about the dumbest dang statement I have ever heard - he wants the cops to train not to shoot to kill but to wound.  Oh boy- ya kin tell this guy is a politician without any base in reality.  And here he has been the guy in the background for so long.

An astute politician apparently, never in the limelight, but what kinda idjit would tell cops to only shoot to wound.  I can see the scenario now - 'Well . Mr. Governor, we thought this guy had a gun but under your guidelines me and my five fellow officers only shot to try and wound this guy and discourage him from shooting us dead.  OK, so we shot him 83 times (and reloaded twice in the process) - problem was that we couldn't tell if the non-lethal bullets you made us use in wounding the guy had any effect, see what we mean - it was as though none of the bullets were actually wounding him.  So anyhow, we think this guy has finally been knocked unconscious from being shot inna head 30 or 40 times with non-lethal bullets, so we jumped him and in the process he shot himself about 8 or 9 times with the stolen semi-auto pistol he was carrying that was loaded with real bullets.  Dang, he even shot himself twice inna head with that gun.  It was a close encounter, and dangerous, but we follered yor guidance'..............

Only in neu yawk...............by Mikey...................

Oh yeah - now whatcha think about this:::  the dems are gonna lose the white house.  McCain is steamrollin' and pickin' up all his national support while klinton and obama are still in a marathon to see who might get the nomination.  When they lose the white house they will blame each other but billary has a possible future here - she can run for governor of neu yawk.  She can spend lots of time in the limelight here in ny back pattin' ol paterson and settin' herself up to run for the governor's seat.  Who's gonna run against her - cuomo doesn't stand a chance against her and neither does any other dumbocrap.  Obama will just go home and still be the jr. Senator without being able to pick up anything but the same experience he has now, just more of it.  billary can hype being governor for 4 yrs and I think that will swing a lot of people her way, especially if she can lie about boing this and that for the upstate economy, and the oppressed, and crime, and alla that bs.  JMTCW.  Mikey.

Hey Torpedoman - the $4k per night may have come from his own accounts but the expenses to transport all his aides, security and all that came straight from the taxpayors pockets.

And pardon me, but I saw a picture of that hooker and there is nothing, absolutely g-d nothin' that could or would ever prompt me to spend even $40 for a piece of her.  The obvious truth is that spitzer, like most dumbocraps in power, believes he can do anythiing with impunity.

Well elliot, which rhymes with idiot, impune this...................... Mikey.

I live in NY State and if I tried to sneak out without paying the 8% state sales tax..Spitzer would have roasted me ! He also was pushing hardb by all kinds of possibly questionable methods, to make sure that we pay the 8% on anything we buy from  "Cheaper than dirt", Midway, Natchez or GB's...

I wonder if he payed his 8% on those expensive cows...or did he EVADE his just taxes....the same 8% he has been so eager to grab from everyone else ?

If one of you guys have a link to Fox News, perhaps you ought to remind them of this possible "tax evasion" case !

I was talking to my state senator at a banquet last Saturday. She said the new Gov is also hopelessly liberal..among other things, he wants to legalize "gay marriage"...

torpedoman and ironglow - Sadly you are both so correct.  This guy is so liberal the thought of legalizing gay marriages is a 'given' with him.  And he has already played the race card.  He never had to say 'you don't dare come after me because I'm black' when all he ever had to do was admit to anything he had done and in his eyes (blind, of course) that exonerates him of any guilt; really sort of sharptonesq, or clintonistic, maybe even politicianal..............

Guns - I think he stay away from gun owners - he's already 'lame duck' and he knows it.. Gun ownership is an issue that has been already decided by the courts and he will go with it to avoid serious confrontation.  He knows that even in liberal neu yawk the gun owners will have his ass right to the wall for the rest of this administration and render him useless if he tries.  And don't for a second think Joe Bruno will give him any room to breath on the issue either.  Paterson doesn't want to leave under a divisive cloud that could easily become racially focused.  He just wants to be able to smile and do all the liberal things he can get away with easily.

Which of course is gonna leave us with a fine mess when hillary runs for governor and she could probably win that election.  Ooops!  Did I forget to mention I think she and obama will kill off each others chances to the white house, which would obviously leave her open to run in that election in just a few short years........she wants to be in charge of something really bad and I think she will take a shot at the governor's office to get it.  I so love politics, it is such a sketch, sorta like thundering flocks of free range chickens............  Mikey.

Hey Mikey,

I like your analogy to thundering flocks of chickens! And I agree completely that Hillary will run for NY governor if Obama beats her. So look at that scenario. Hillary as our governor and Obama as president (I think he stands a better chance at beating McCain than she does). Can it get any worse?!

As a lame duck governor, I predict Patterson will wait until 90 days from end of his term and try to push through his liberal agenda at that time when he has nothing to lose.
