On my grandson's 20ga. Mossberg 500, I mounted some clamp-on fiber optic sights. The front sight is mounted on the rib just behind the front bead, the rear sight is mounted all the way back at the end of the rib/barrel. Should the rear sight be moved forward a few inches? I noticed that all open sighted rifles that the rear sight is usually positioned a couple inches forward from the end of the barrel. I figured the longer the sight radius, the better. What's correct? TIA!
