I'm in WI and it's snowing today. Prospecting is hard here everything is glacial and spread out pretty thin. I'm new to all this stuff so haven't found any gold yet but I'm learning. I have been detecting for some time and was out the other day. The weather had warmed and we lost a lot of snow cover opening some ground.  I found a few coins and a small ring, nothing of any real value. I'm sitting here typing this watching everything get snowed back over.
I wish I had the kind of gold some of you others have to look for. O-well I make the best of what I can and enjoy being out poking around.
I spend most my time on the trapping forum here. But if there is new stuff to look at I'll stop in. If I get on to any gold or something else interesting. I'll stop in and post, I'd hate to see this part of the board gone too.

I was using my metal detector today and I learned a valuable lesson--it has been wet here in Missouri--this morning it was 37 degrees--under these condition's must use a knee pad on my right knee--for once it gets wet--it gets cold.
