Paintin' lil'griz coon traps
« on: July 11, 2003, 03:12:24 AM »
Hi Guys,
Im gonna paint my little griz traps soon and was wondering about color.  I dont have a problem with thef...never have....and I think paintin them all white would give more eye-appeal but am a little leary...i naturally want them black.

Has anyone tried/experiemented with different colors.
Thanke Tim B

You got a good idea- painted them white really gives them eye appeal and really pulls the coon to them. One problem, it won't last. After a few coon, the traps are polished just about the nicest shiniest silver you could have- plenty of eye appeal.

So painting them white won'y hurt- but it doesn't last. I was just not having any luck on dryland locations with the brownish traps- so thats why I painted- results were almost immediate.

So Steve, does that mean that the one that I painted brown should become white?

Not by itself LOL- but after a couple of catches it will be bright silver- and that just makes em better.

Had some ripped off this winter- hurts when you come to a location and $80 of traps are gone. Rat ********!!!
