i have been thinking about getting them but would like info on them first... anyone use them ? are they good for powder measurements ?

Yes and NO. I have one of these and I will be the first to tell you that it's NOT repeatable enough at all for weighing charges. Just about each weigh requires reTARING the scale.
BUT
On individual items the scale is surprisingly accurate. I use it to check weight on bullets and brass. It also makes for a fast and accurate double check setting up my Lyman scale, or even quick a verification on thrown charges.
I'm happy I bought it even though it isn't consistent enough for weighing charges one after another
