338 lupa

is the bolt face the same for the 338lupa as the 338rum. would it be possable to re chamber the 338rum to the Lupa
never to much gun

The bolt face is the same but the actions are 2 different lengths.

The 338 Rum is shorter then the 338 Lapua. Remington is coming out with a 338 Lapua but it is on a modified and beefed up 700 action.

Most 338 Lapua's are built on Sako actions which are longer and can handle the pressure.

I had the opportunity to develop a load for a friend of mine.  It was a 338 Lapua with a 700 action.  Best part I got the gun for a month to do load development.  Man, that thing would shoot but only useful on a bench because the thing weighed about 25 pounds.
