rem. 700 or ruger hawkeye?

Hi i want to get a gun with a really smooth action, nice stainless barrel. and that is tough and reliable. I know the rem. 700 sps stainless has a top grade action but this ruger hawkeye really caught my attention. I know some of you are die-hard remington  lovers  but give me your honest opinion. Thanks!

I can't stand the SPS stocks, both regular and varmint. Have you held them? Have you held the Ruger and compared? I suggest holding both and go with feels better to you. Even if I did hold and shoot both, my opinion wouldn't matter much as it's not my $$ and I won't be the one shooting it.

As far as actions and barrels go, I think you know my answer

Never was a Ruger fan, but never disliked them either. Solid rifles and priced well, you can't go wrong with them, how's that for honest?

both shoot good . the best thing on the Ruger is the scope mounting system . everything else is a wash out !

Thing is Im in the stix lol and there are no gun stores ANYWHERE near me so i cant hold them.... BUT i do agree the rem. 700 is SOLID! i was just speculating. lmao
