I fail to see the similarity, the wssm dwarfs the ppc! ???

I hope its a 222,because thats what I'm wanting, but waiting for someone else to try first. I've got the triple duece in a 721 Rem.and a CVA optima elite, and they're both very good shooters. 1/2" groups and less are the norm.in both rifles. Its a fairly low pressure rd.and should really shine in a Handi.     Digger

A 222 would be an excellent choice! ;D I have never seen a 222 shoot badly, unless there is something wrong like a bad crown. ;)  A 221 shoots pretty well too and the cases last much longer than a 22 hornet. Of course the 22 PPC is also known for it's accuracy.

I always wanted a Hornet but got talked out of it by a friend in favor of the 221 Fireball which I got in a CZ American. I wanted a walking/stalking gun for ranges up to 120 yards no farther. Well I was disappointed ... in a way.... as the Fireball proved to be just to deadly right out to 200 yards. It took the fun out of shooting it was so accurate and easy to reload and shoot. THe hornet goes hunting first this spring.

Hadn't thought of a 222 in a handy. Now I am , Krud wish I hadn't kliked on this post.

Can't afford to rechamber now . Just received a new 221 fireball Adams and Bennett , Turned around and ordered my Nephew a 22-250 ER Shaw 2 days ago.  Got a gun show coming up tomorrow at Medowview. I may have to trot over there and see what is to be had. Last time they had a heavy bull for a 700 Rem. in 22 ppc I think . Been thinking about that one for awhile.

Would go good on the 70 vssf in the Choat stock

While not exact copies{ I should have been clearer} the WSSM's certainly reflect the short, fat cartridges with sharp shoulder angles that Lou Palmisano and Ferris Pindell developed. The 6.5 Grendel is a refinement of the 6.5 PPC as well. It is interesting that people are bemoaning the demise of the WSSM line up while the 6PPC seems well ensconced. Of course it is popular as a competition round. Haven't seen any Handi's in the results of any major competitions. Have fun 'cause anything else is a waste of time and energy! Guy
