Well hit the range with some boys yesterday and shot one pack of 270powerbelts and let me tell you at 100 yards it was dead nuts on but i was using the red case magnum charge triple 777 pellets. I didnt brush .....................nothing kept shooting so i tried 200 and couldnt hit the paper  i tried turned my scope up one whole turn to help get it on the paper ........nope ,no way, so do i shoot a lighter bullet? What do i do to go to 200 i need this for moose this september and would like to shoot that far or am i pushing my luck?

 :-\ 150 grains with a 270 grain powerbelt VS moose.  :'(

100 yards to 200 yards is  huge.

Pull back to 150, 175 dial in and then 200 yards.

You do know that Powerbelt and CVA  recommend a minimum of 348 grain powerbelt on elk sized game right?

If you want to such a light weight bullet with that much powder, i recommend  a different bullet.

200yards with a muzzy is nice, but how high is that thing going to shoot if you come across a moose 30-40 yards away?

Well it seems at 100 yards and a 270 bullet is the way to go but herein ontario nobody carries anything lighter than a 270  at a maximum of a 100 yards what would you recommend for a bullet size and ill try and order something smaller in a power belt.

its bad for the moose and you.  One a wounded moose and 2, you tracking a wounded moose isnt any fun.

I dont care how that bullet performs on paper, Go set up a coffee can, fill it with sand and go shoot it and report back on how well that bullet held up.

On another forum a guy shot an elk with a 338 platinum with 150 grain pellets, a little over 50 yards and the recovered bullet weighed 185 grains.

I do my home work on these bullets and stand behind my work.

With moose, Nothing lighter than 348 grains and make sure its an Aerotip.

But try that coffee can with with some wet sanded packed into it and set it up out  there at 50 and 100 yards and see what happens.
