i Finally finished my stock and really love it. I did Tung oil and linspeed combo. My question is now I have another stock I would like to do but I only want to do one or the other, which one would have the better protection linspeed or Tung oil on a walnut stock?

That's a bit akin to asking what's the best pickup truck... Each has their own opinion.. I like the TruOil blend myself.. but have used LinSpeed and Tung oil.. I dislike Tung oils shorter pot life and LinSpeed's extra dryers causes it to dry a bit hard and will 'craze' sometimes.  I'm experimenting with a product called 'Okene' now. It s commercial finish and made by P&L (I think). basically a blend of linseed oil and tung oil with a dash of pine oil. The latter is a new thing for me! It handles differently than most others but is doing OK so far..
