lyman tru-line jr

I just bought a Lyman Tru-line Jr. I need a set of Lyman 310 dies in .308 Win. The  alternative is to get a new die plate that is made for the stander dies. Where can I find the original type 310 dies? The plate is $50.00 so if dies cost more than that I will just order a new plate.

The Tru-Line is a great little press for light work such as for pistol loading. 

Most 310 dies, probably all of them, are neck size only and for that work the old press will do fine.  I don't think I'd be comfortable FL sizing rifle cases on that small press tho. 

A new 7/8"x14 die head would be in order due to the lack of availability of the older, smaller 310 type dies.    I think they have been out of production for years but I see 310 dies on ebay fairly often.  Other than that I have no idea of a source.

I see the dies at gun shows a fair amount, but have no other idea where you would find them. If your going to load .308 it would be easier and probably cheaper to find a used press that take standard dies.

My first reloading press was a Lyman True Line JR which I purchased in 1953. The only rifle dies were for neck seizing.  I used it for reloading 222 Rem, 270 Win, and 38 Special rounds.  At times I have seen some old dies at gun showes.

There is a company that is making new 310 die and has a great selection of old dies.

Not suprising it's called the "310 Shop".

Lyman still has the 310 Loading Tool in their catalog, 2007. The handles go for $55 and the dies are $59.95 (catalog prices are usually a bit higher than retail). Just a limited number of cartridges dies available; 6 rifle (30-30, 38/40, 38/55, 40/65, 44/40 and 45-70) and 3 pistol (38/357, 44 Mag. 45 Colt).
