Sat night hunt
« on: March 24, 2008, 07:45:37 AM »
We went hunting Saterday night and I got ahold of Madshark AKA Mark and invited him along. We started hunting shortly after 9 an hunted all night with out a single bark. Except for the dogs trying to climb a high fence to get to the hogs standing on the other side laughing at them lol. We decided to try one more place and then call it a night. We got to the fields and saw alot of freash rooting and finally hit the hogs. Mark was able to send his pit to her first bay and catch and she did a good job. We actually thought the hog was bigger then it was as they were baying it, BUT I think on hindsight the new bay dog I got and the pup was the ones baying while the other three had it caught. She was a milking sow that went close to 100 pounds or so. Here are some pics.

That last stop made it worth the effort!

I have a friend who knows a farmer with around 1000 acres with deer and hogs on it, and the farmer hunts them with dogs.  I am hoping to go out with them and check it out.  They use a couple of hand made titanium stickers to put'em down.  We'll see if I am lucky enough to go out at least one night.
