From my review/search, I've been able to determine only that S&W, Ruger, Taurus, and Kimber have chambered handguns in 17M2 in the past. Only Taurus (in a snubbie) remains. Taurus and Heritage also make larger revolvers in 17hmr.
Anybody know what it would take to get a 17M2 cylinder for one of the 17hmr revolvers still being made? I don't know what it takes to bore a cylinder, but Taurus already makes a 17M2 revolver; can't they just use the 17M2 tool to bore out the cylinder on, say, a Tracker, instead of the 17hmr?
