Just curious. Also add what calibers you scope or leave as is with open sights.

Alan,

All of my barrels wear scopes. Most either 2-7 or 3-12. I have a couple 10" barrels that after I finish load development, will have the iron sights put back on. I was thinking of getting a 4x Leu to try on the 10" barrels until I checked the prices of them.

a guy locally is selling a LOT of his guns. He said he has a like new 4X Leupold EER [pistol scope] he will sell for $125,,,I told him YES!

I bought a new one 4 or 5 years ago to go on a revolver. It was less than 200 new I thought. I would rather have a 2-7 burris and change than the 4xLeu.

You did good on the 4x..

10" 300 Whisper with a 2-7X Burris EER
10" 357 Max with a 2-7X Burris EER (had a Nikon 2X on it, which I will probably put back on after load testing is done)
14" 44 Mag with a 2X Nikon EER

All of my Contenders have scopes. Caliber range from 17-44. Don't know why, but the way I do it is Contenders get scopes, revolvers do not.

all contenders get scopes Most revolver likewise.Defensive guns revolver or auto get irons or laser dot sights! Must be the way I think!
