Last weekend of Coyote season
« on: March 26, 2008, 03:31:49 AM »
for awhile anyway .....so if the weather cooperates, I will be out this weekend trying my luck......I can honestly say it is worth the time outdoors.....regardless of success or failure....a chance to be outdoors , at sunrise....is never a waste of time or energy...or to me considered a loss of sleep........God has blessed us with the mind and body, to overcome many things....I say we honor Him .......and enjoy the world He has given us...........

I went out yesterday for the last time this season. Called one in, shot it, it hit the ground, but got up and ran away. Good time to be out, got some dang ticks on me though.

I did not fair as well......the water was everywhere...and my favorite spot , was pretty much flooded......so I was just there to see the ducks and hawks.........I did try something new........ran a needle with fishing line on it , through three turkey feathers,,,,,,ltied them to a stick , a foot off the ground or so .....and let it dance in the wind......the hawks there...seemed very interested and hovered above it..but not a coyote to be seen......and no ticks .......good in that respect.   Have a great day
