Looks like brass, there is no difference in color where the trigger guard mates, and if it was just light glare, there would still be a difference between the parts.

Definitely brass and an ASM to boot. Not worth the powder to blow it up as far as i am concerned. I have had nothing but trouble with every ASM revolver i ever bought. Just my .02 cents.
