I'm new to reloading, and just finished shooting off a box of "gun show" cast lead hollowpoints from my 44 magnum handirifle. I found that I got quite a bit of lead deposition in the throat area if my muzzle velocities went much over 1000 fps. I also realized that I don't enjoy cleaning lead out of my barrel. So on a whim I ordered some of Berry's Plated Bullets from Cabelas. They are apparently given a thin plating of copper by electrolysis. They are cheaper than jacketed bullets, but are supposed to shoot cleaner than cast lead. Has anyone ever used these? If so, what kind of load data do you use? Are they accurate, or did I make a mistake in buying them? I would appreciate any information that anyone might have about them. Thanks,
Duane
