Now, to start and re-do the note that I typed in yesterday and LOST when I tired to put in ONE smiley face.

It will be good to have DD back state-side!

He's gone to great lengths (like leaving the country) to keep out of circulation AND has mastered the art of target shooting without sights.

We're looking forward to seeing pictures of ground-squirrels, woodchucks, rock chucks and prairie dogs being cleaned out of where they're merely pests and not pets.

BUT now that he's retarded - ahhhh - retired - the rest of us have to keep WORKING to help the federal government keep up with his social security payments!

WELCOME BACK, DD!

Like we said in the last email, if you have a chance to stop by on the way to your Montana estate, please do so.  As a further incentive, we just added $1.75 to the value of your Seacoast Arty tour.  You will now get the full Two Dollar tour instead of the 25 cent tour Mike promised!  AND please consider it's only 1,504 miles to Denver from Virginia, so we are saving you 649 miles off the full 2,153 miles to your acreage.  Anyway,  WELCOME BACK      TO THE    UNITED STATES !!!  The words "TO THE" didn't show up, being white color lettering.

Regards,

Mike and Tracy

Okay, I'm back and I am now unemployed and homeless.   Seems like over night my ulcer went away.  I m not sitting here fretting over wah to to put in the weekly report to go out in the morning.

Yes cannon were brought back, they came in our seafreight as were the some of the spears and knobkerries.

Additional spears, knobkerries  and Zulu shields came in the airfreight shipment.

The Martini's and shotguns will come on a few weeks via my personal airfrieght.

Tim and Lance we just aren't going to be able to make it down there.  Lance your package will be shipped out to you on Monday.

Thanks all the good wishes guys.

DD,

The photo is a "Keeper". As, for the fish..... Well.....  ;D Anyway, enjoy your retirement and we look forward to some "Smoke & Flame" from your sprawling Montana ranch.

DD,

"sprawling Montana ranch"??  Have you been talking with Ted Turner again?  That's very disappointing; we thought you were going to hold out for something a bit bigger. :o :o  After all, if Mike and I ever build a full size 12 pounder Whitworth, we need a range with 10,000 yards minimum!!   ;D ;D

Welcome back,

Mike and Tracy

I can understand waiting for the shotguns.... But the martinis ;)?

 Cheers!

Welcome back stateside!

P.S. Any good cannon sightings in the S. African region? Looks like I'll be there again in sept, but with a bit more relaxed schedule than this coming May/June's trip.

Cannons all over the place in the most unlikely places.  Capetown has a bunch.  Town Hall Ladysmith Boer War guns, Pietermartizberg town square, Durban City Hall, and the esppande along Victoria Embankment.

If you are inn the Durban Area the first Sunday of the Month, I can put you i n contact with the South African Miniature Cannon Club and they will put you on the line.

Pretty Ancient Antiques on Victoria Embankment in Durban has a wide variety of cannons. Their website is listed on the cannon resource list.

Titus can probably tell you about a bunch of cannons up in the J-berg area.

The first trip will be pretty short now (~two weeks) and 10-12 hrs/day. All of the shipping and such is being done out of Johannesburg, so we'll have a little time down in S. Africa. We'll be back around the end of August for a month or so and I'll have a much more relaxed schedule then. I was even looking into some warthog hunts in the region. :) I would love to come out to one of y'alls shoots. Although, after a couple months in the DRC and Angolan border region, I may be a bit jumpy around gunfire.;)
