I've only had my 460 for four months and it's a S&W revolver, not an encore, but this is what I use:
Starline cases, WLR primers, H110 powder - a little below max according to the Hornady #7 manual, and Hornady 240 gr. XTP HP MAG bullets. This load is very accurate in my 460 revolver.  I have not shot a deer with this load yet, but have used this bullet in a 454 Casull revolver to take several deer and it works great.  Some may prefer Hornady's 300 grain XTP HP MAG, but in my mind, the 300 gr. bullet just recoils more and is more bullet than needed for whitetails.  Recently, I purchased some Barnes XPB 460 bullets in 200 and 275 grains.  I have not had chance to shoot them yet, but at a dollar a piece, if they are not truly and surprisingly impressive I severely doubt they will replace the Hornadys as my Go To bullet.
Regards, Chappy

My .460 is an Encore Katahdan. Only recently found a load that it really likes and that is a 340 grain hard cast bullet (.458 dia Lee Mould sized down to .452) over a starting load level of H110 in Starline Brass and using Wolfe Large Rifle primers (from the Hodgdon manual). Still working on getting the 250 and 300 grain stuff to group better than 2" at 50 yards.
Good luck.

My Encore 460 S&W handgun load uses Starline Brass, Federal 210M primers, Alliant 2400 powder and Hornady .45 caliber 250 gr. SST/ML (muzzle loader bullets).  It's quite accurate.  My best group with this load was a 200 yard 3 shot group that measured about 1.5 inches.

I also have been working on loads for my .460 X-frame and have found it too  likes the 240 gn recipe mentioned above. My son's TC prefers the 300 grainers. We both use a 250 grain reduced recoil for practice.
