America has been blessed like no other nation on earth. I believe that God blesses us BECAUSE of our support for Israel. Heaven help us if  we turn our back on them, or if tm is elected president. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Now, if one were to take up the strict evangelical (which I don't subscribe to) viewpoint, the people of Israel are doomed to hell for not accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  We were blessed long before there was ever a state of Israel, and we've been controlled by big corporations and big banks for the whole of their existence.

If there is a God, I don't think he gives a damn about how many billions of dollars our government steals from us and sends to Israel.  I'm fairly certain he'd be more worried about how we allow people to kill millions of babies in the womb each year..

kev. God established Israel thousands of years ago. I believe that God blinded the eyes of the Jews so the prophecy could be fulfilled, I also believe that they have their own covenant with God and that their eyes will be opened in end times.
I darn sure agree with you on killing babies, it's murder, not birth control. There are only 2 choices, life, or death. POWDERMAN.  :( :( :( :( :( :(

I'm not much of a believer past believing that there is a God, but the killing babies in the womb part is one thing I have in common with you conservative types.

Whatever pact God has with Israel isn't of much concern to me.  If he truly does have a covenant with them, then what we do doesn't make a durn bit of difference because he has his own plan for them.  If he doesn't, well, that doesn't make a durn bit of difference to me either.  I don't want my money sent to them.... not because I don't like Jews, (alright folks, they don't believe anything any more outlandish than any other religion) or because I like Muslims, (I don't much care for what they believe in either) but because it's my money and I don't like the government taking it from me and spending it on causes that I have no stake in and don't particularly care about.

I want to spend my money on causes I believe in.  That's why I give to St. Jude and the NRA, and why I don't give my money to send missionaries to spread the faith or feed the poor puppies and kittens.

i agree with alot of kev's last post.  except the part about not being much of a believer.   as far as israel, i think we need every friend we can get, and israel is a good friend to have.   they dont take no crap; and that i like.

as far as tm7, for sure a thinker.  where you go wrong is your assumtion that you are absolutely, positively enlightened and everyone else is fooled.   no one person has the answers.   it is foolish to think otherwise.   you bring a different viewpoint to the table; which isnt all bad.  if nothing else it makes a person think a little harder.   i have never had a problem with an opposing viewpoint,  i have always been able to listen, think,  and then make my own conclusions.    the only advise i can offer ya is that you should occasionally focus on something good that the united states does.    many times you come across as an america hater.
the thing is we are all americans, and therefore america.  and we arent bad.   while i do believe there are people trying to manipulate and gain from it,  i dont think that we are puppets dancing to the strings the government is pulling.  they mess up damn near everything they get their fingers into, yet i am supposed to believe they have a master plan and are pulling it off to perfection.    sure, they get their fingers into a guy's paycheck, and do stupid things and surely must be held in check; but how much do "they" really control you?

myroman3....I just happen to believe that gov anywhere, esp. our current administration, think we're too stupid to govern ourselves or figure anything out, and therefore we're not to be told the truth or dealt with in a forthright manner, even lied too.   In fact, the foregoing statement is exactly the the doctrine of Levi Strauss who thought up Neoconism in the first place and was mentor to many in the current admin.  So, I'm with Teddy Roosevelt on this questioning government thing as he claimed it should be done every step of the way, as well as a lot of other great folks say the same.  Actually, I have done exhaustive research on government follies and who benefits for 40 years, as well as traveled thru the ME and Far E on several occasions.  What I learned in the ME, among other things, is don't try to change them and it isn't needed either.

...TM7

You talk about the middle east people as a whole and change is not needed or welcome.  I agree in part.  When the religious extremists keep to their own religion and quit interfering in others, then I will change my position.  As long as these extremists tout and expound death to infidels and America in general, let them reap what they sow.

Well on Fox news this morning, I watched and heard the Ayatollah in Iran during the military might parade, make the comment about the death of America and that they would be a major participant in it.  If this is an example of peace talks, with all the military presence and religous jihad against infidels, I'd hate to see just what the Iranian Muslims would do if they meant war.  So much for all the peace keeping Muslims, when I see a threat of military strength, a verbal statement that threatens its use, a promise to continue the quest for nuclear energy with the inference of nuclear weapons by their highest Muslim religous leader, I guess I should turn the other cheek and ignore it.  Are the American people to wait until Iran sends one of those weapons our way?  Am I to assume that Iran's intentions are honorable and peaceful, just because someone has been there and presented another side of the story?  Am I to presume that that the kidnapping of our embassy personel did not happen, or if it did happen, that this action did not incite the Iranian leadership into thinking we are incompetent and weak?  Nothing anyone posts on this site, is going to change my opinion on this subject that Iran is a major threat to world security, and especially in the middle East.  Nothing, except facts, is going to change my mind that Iran is not only financing Al Qaida, but also supplying arms and calling for jihad.  I've seen too many facts that support my conclusions.  I didn't see any Israelis at the parade, or any rabbi calling on a Jewish war to anihilate their neighbors, nor infer a first attack with nucear weapons.  Someone is going to have to do better than he has been, if he is to convince me that the middle East is all Israel's and US's fault, for the troubles currently happening.

When their grand exalted poobah" leadership calls us the "great Satan" and promises Jihad for ever..we are foolish in the extreme not to take them serious !

That speech and others we hear almost every day ..calling us the enemy and promising to destroy us, sure sounds like a declaration of war, to me..

If they are declaring war on us; I am a firm believer in the old axiom.."The  best defense..is a vigorous and determined offense."

With the many attacks upon western interests..they have "sown the wind"..they should by all rights, "reap the whirlwind"..seems to be all they understand..

The way those Iranian soldiers marched to the goose step reminded me of WWII Nazi soldiers in movies I've watched.  Somehow, I've got the same feeling that these soldiers also believe in divine right to conquer and dominate their neighbors and everyone else in the world, the same as Nazi fanatics.  It seems like they are baiting us into a war with them.  I'm reluctant to go to war, as it appears we are too reluctant to use our most devasting weapons.  That means ground troops and a huge loss of Americans.  I'm reluctant to make Iran a martydom for other Muslim countries as an excuse to commit more terrorism attacks on the US against non combatants.  But, I am not reluctant to issue an ultimatum, with the promise and commitment of military action, for Iran to cease and desist from further aggressive moves toward the US and its allies.  Then I'm of the opinion, if all else fails, to use our utmost power and weapons with extreme prejudice and dispatch against the entire Iranian country.  All other countries should be warned that any aid, support, or alliance with Iran, will be meet with the same fate, unconditionally.

The old Iranian hardliners are in many ways very similar to the Christian conservative right wing in our own country.  They have difficulty seeing the errors in their thinking, they have a deep-seated dislike (if not hatred) of the "other side," and they are a dying breed.  The college age kids in Iran don't buy into the Ayatollah's line of bullcrap any more than I buy into the notion that all Muslims are bloodthirsty killers.  You will recall, earlier this year there were mass protests against the government on most of Iran's college campuses.

These times they are a-changin' gentlemen, and for the better I hope.  I hope I live to see the day when people cease to kill each other over something as silly and absurd as religion.

I sure hope you are referring to KKK perception by people, when you talk about Christian conservative right wing.  I happen to believe in the conservative philosophy, am baptised Christian, and am extemely right wing, as compared to the leading Democratic contenders for President.  I believe in the constructionist interpretation of the Constitution, as can (or should be able to) be read and understood by an 8th grader.  I believe in personal responsibility for cause and effect, and do not believe that society and social problems take precedent over individual rights.  I do not believe government, has the right to dictate what terms or conditions I must use in teaching and discipline of my children.  As long as the child is not abused, keep out.  I believe that private ownership of firearms, is the only deterrent against a tyranical government.  I hate (dislike) socialism or communism and believe that any man has the chance to overcome his obstacles, if he truly desires, but it is not owed to him.  I will use whatever force necessary, to protect my family and stay alive, when in jeopardy.  I believe in the principle of going about my own business and pursuit of happiness, without hindrance or harrassment.  If one thinks this is going to go the way of the dinosaur, I believe them to be sadly ignorant of people in general and grossly under estimates the underlying principles of our nation and its silent majority.

No, I'm talking about the wing of the Republicrat party who firmly believes that Islam is the root of all evil in this world and that we should drop nukes on Iran just so we can kill 20 million "animals."

I suppose that "Christian" would have been a better choice, since there is nothing remotely Christian about killing millions of innocent people in a nation that didn't have a single one of their countrymen on any of the flights that went down on 9-11.

I do not believe that Islam is the root of all evil, nor do I believe that all Muslims love America.  If civilian populations support their governments that harbor terrorists or terrorism, or support religious fanatics to instill violence against those who do not believe in their religion, and these actions result in military conflict, tough.  It is their responsibility to control their own government by internal means or civil insurection, if necessary.  If they support their governments policies, then they must bear the same responsibility for that action and belief.  They do have a choice.  I have a choice to defend myself and family against jeopardy by whatever means necessary.  I will not shed a tear over those, who have the ability to take alternative action and do not.  Read the Declaration of Independence.

TM7 now you make this claim that Israel is pointing all these Nukes at their neighbors. Now if they are they have a reason you can't seem to face the fact that the muslims are the aggressors. Israel has to be on the defensive as their neighbors are hostile rabid animals. And now you say Ahmadinajad was trying to extend an Olive branch to America and the world a few years ago, yes if America was run by Adolph Hitler I could see you saying that. I still believe that anyone as educated as you seem to be must be saying these things in jest, on the other hand you could be just proving Ron WHite to be correct.

Myronman's son had it in a nutshell..very simple..we can each figure it out for ourselves; he asked (paraphrased):

" just imagine that tomorrow morning, Israel had all kinds of nukes, and weapons of all sorts, and the surrounding Muslims had none; how long would the peace last ?
On the other hand, suppose the Muslims had all the weapons and Israel had none..How long would the peace last under those conditions ?"

No one need answer that question here; we can each answer that for ourselves..

( Myronman; hope you don't mind the paraphrasing)

TM7 asks where some of the info comes from, here's one source..    www.jihadwatch.org/

I would counter that question with a question of my own:  Which part of your question involves the United States, and more specifically, my tax dollars.  Of course, we're going in circles now.

Kev;
It involves the US because we have a common enemy..can share intel, strategy and weapons systems to defeat this fanatical enemy.

..And I  believe that chances are, Israel would give us at least full value in return for what me may provide for them..

Well you have to point a weapon somewhere so why not at a rabid animal. I see your starting to use your Nazi terms again. Boy TM7 you are making less sense in every post you make. You make the statement "If the muzzies are the aggressors than how come they lost Palestine, loosing Gaza and the Litani River, and living a dirt existence  while thousands of them are killed?" it's as simple as your hero Adolph Hitler and Germany being the aggressor and losing. TM you are proving Ron White correct, with all your education it proves his point perfectly.

Also TM7 do you think Myronmans sons story was probably very true to this case? Now answer this Israel were disarmed completely what would happen to them? And if the muzzies were disarmed what would happen to them? Now I can't predict the future but if i had to bet on scenarioio I'd bet on what Myronmans son said would be accurate.

I cannot understand your vehimit hatred of Jews, there is no zionist conspiracy. I can't believe that old Nazi wives tale is still believed after all these years. So what did the Jews do to you personally? I'd really like to know? Something must have happened in your life to instill such a rabid hatred in you?

You have more in common with the "Godless ones" than you know, powderman.  You hate on the basis of religion, you broadly categorize billions of people based on the actions of a few, and you would rather spend tax dollars killing people 10,000 miles away than helping people 10 miles away.

Just my observation.

kev. What I really hate is seeing millions of people going to hell because they've been lied to all their lives and would rather be in a cult praising their rapist, child molester, murderer mohamed, than Jesus Christ. Their mohamed was a false prophet, and islam is a false religion. You seem to support a cult that teaches their children hatred and death from birth. A cult that is obsessed with death and world domination. They fire rockets from the roofs of peoples homes, then whine when Israel hits them. They intentionally hide behind civilians, hoping for dead bodies so they can get you, tm, and the dumcraps to whine about that mean ol Israel fighting back and killing innocents. There are no innocents there. They are all to blame. The men will lie to you then kill you, the women will  breed more just like them, and the children have been so far indoctrinated in hatred and death that they could never survive in any kind of a civilized society. The devil used mohamed to do his work. The goal of islam is the same today as it was with mohamed. World domination, and the death or subjugation of ALL non muslims, men, women, and children. Whether they are all jihadists doesn't matter, they all study from the same satans handbook, the koran. The Bible says that God will bless those who bless Israel. I read where the Godless ones have 40,000 rockets pointed at Israel, many are long ranged ones. These rockets have been aquired since their last peace agreement when the Godless ones agreed to disarm and behave, more muslim lies. The Godless ones don't want peace, they never have, they live only to kill, even their own. Call islam a religion if you want, but it's a Godless cult, a cancer, a boil on the butt of the entire world. Name a country that the Godless ones aren't murdering innocents, besides China, cause the chinese would squash em like a bug. How many countries is Israel murdering innocents??? NONE. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Kev;
As Americans, we did spend a couple decades after WW1, sitting here contemplating our navel...while the Nazis and the Empire of Japan built strength in preparation to taking over
the world..You talk as if throwing cash at most of problems we face, would solve those problems. Nothing could be further from the truth..we've "been there, done that".
I can recall LBJ launching his "war on poverty"..the war on poverty was supposed to 1)solve poverty,2) eliminate illegitimacy, 3) get a higher high school graduation rate
in inner city schools, 4) help people to extricate themselves from public housing, 5) wipe out welfare rolls, 6) promote nuclear families among the poor, and by these
"advances"..  7) assuage the anger of minorities.

After trillions of $$$ spent, what has it bought us over the last 40 years that it has been in effect ?...

    1) More poverty than ever
    2) Today the illegitimacy rate is Caucasian..35%   Black..70+% ( in spite of the millions aborted, starting in 1973)
   3) Surely the dropout rate in inner city schools is at lest equal to if not worse, than 40 years ago.
   4) Help people extricate themselves from public housing..really ?
   5) Ask yourself..are the welfare rolls wiped out..or even holding steady ?
   6) Less nuclear families by far, not just among the poor..but across the board.
   7) Is the anger of all minorities assuaged ? If so, how is it folks like Al, Jesse, Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan thrive well enough to live in luxury ?

You can throw your hard earned (I assume) tax money in that wasteful direction, but I see it as senseless waste.

These problems don't need more money to waste..they need a boost in personal honor, values, dignity, morals, decency and beliefs !  In my humble opinion, there is
only ONE thing that can do that job..a return to the very roots that made this nation the "shining city on a hill" and the "beacon of freedom and  opportunity" that it
has historically been. We must return to the Christian guidance and roots that our forefathers  bequeathed to us !

The father of our country and first President said in his farewell address, cautioned Americans that "religion & morality" were indispensable ingredients to keep the
United States as a free republic.
Also... ." It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible" ..(G. Washington)

" Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, it is wholly inadequate to govern any other"  John Adams, 2nd Pres. (addressing the military10/11/1798)

 TM7;
Whoa.."archetypical fascist Nazi" ! Along with the rest of the name calling tirade..I honestly think you owe Billy an apology here..that statement doesn't sound like you..

In all fairness, I believe Myron's son wrote an accurate, concise summation of the real problem in the "Holy Land"..so many times we have seen Israel give "land for peace",
the surrounding Muslims got their land..but where is the "peace". If someone kept offering me a dozen eggs for 98 cents, and I paid him 98 cents..ten times over..and still no eggs; I would quit trying to deal with "that lying crook" ! What other honest choice could one make ? " Fool me once...............".
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Now back to the subject, Iran. Iran is exporting weapons ti Iraq and killing American soldiers. I have no problem with killing millions of the filthy vermin if it would save just one American life. Iran is rattling its saber and threatening its neighbors. Its about time their saber get snapped off.

TM7 now really, I can understand your frustration, I point out that you are using the same terms as Adolph Hitler used in his persecution of the Jews, and you go to calling me a Nazi, tsk tsk. Now I am not a Nazi although I do have some distant relatives that were. I am starting to wonder about your motives TM7 you seem to be agianst everything that America stands for. I looked on your prophile and it gives some wierd location.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

  Just a small reminder...
The maps shown tell a great story..about extreme intolerance and pig-headedness. Let's get a touch of reality here !

   Three pics;

 1) Shows Israel's "unjust occupation" of "Arab lands"...and about half that little speck of yellow has already been given back as "land for peace"..and there is no peace !
The so-called Palestinians have been kept in "refugee camps" in and near that yellow speck for about 50 years...No other place to live, they claim. The surrounding gray/blue areas are all owned & dominated by their Muslim brethren; why can not their Muslim "brothers" give them a place to live?

 2) Then of course, the "freedom map"..somewhat like our "red/blue map". It shows the free countries in blue, the partly-free as white and the unfree as red.

  3) the land mass reference map: The red being Israel..why can't the troublesome Palestinians find a place to go when they leave the "refugee camps" ? That little sliver
of red produces more advances in medicine, engineering, scientific breakthroughs and freedom etc, etc.. than that whole huge land mass shown in green coloring.
Why must all those green (with envy ?) countries be continually hammering at that small sliver of red ? Surely, If they got it..it would soon revert back to the wasteland
it was before the Jews re-acquired that, their homeland !

Personally; I believe the answer is found in   (Genesis 16: esp vs. 9-12)
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

tm. I feel slighted. Billy's a fascist nazi, and I'm just a neocon, whatever that is. You have a lot of nerve calling Billy a fascist nazi, he's not the one who hates Jews, you are. You owe him an apology. You talk about maps but keep forgetting about the map of Gods initial gift to Israel, but I reckon it's not in your koran. For the life of me I can't understand how anybody with ANY SENSE could blame Israel for the plight of those Godless palestinians or any of the others. Hmmmm, I just answered my own question. It's hard to deal with your blatant disrespect of Israel, and almost anything to do with America. Go move in with your Godless friends. Maybe, just maybe, they will let you fire a rocket at a busload of Jewish school kids, I bet that almost makes you drool. You seem to see things backwards, like through in mirror. You claim not to support te Godless ones, but you do. Every single time you cut down and disrespect  Israel and America. I'm beginning to wonder if your last name is carter, another of jimmuhs brothers. You and carter would get along great. I don't necessarily call for killing 20 million in iran, but it would not be a big loss to the world. They are a Godless nation and are dangerous to the whole world. Their leader is waiting for his little genie to come out of a well to slay all of the infidels, you'd be safe. Their cult is a cult of hatred and death, like I said, it would not be a loss to the world. You call us names then whine like a little girl when we call you on your stupid statements. Grow up, get a life, open your eyes. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

So, did anyone happen to catch the softball game between the Lanier Hornet's and Allen's Chicks last night?

The girls on both sides did well, but it does appear that the Hornet's defensive skills are improving.  Need to have more warm-ups on batting before the game.  Takes a few innings for the hitter's to get in the groove, and when them 7 year olds are only playing 6 innings, time is short.

(take a deep breath, y'all)

Bin Laden's Deputy Says Iran Trying to Undermine Al Qaeda

CAIRO, Egypt —  Al Qaeda's No. 2 leader issued a new audiotape Tuesday accusing Shiite Iran of spreading a conspiracy theory about who carried out the Sept. 11 attacks to discredit the power of the Sunni terrorist network.   ...
One questioner asked about the theory that has circulated in the Middle East and elsewhere that Israel was behind the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Al-Zawahri accused Hezbollah's Al-Manar television of starting the rumor. "The purpose of this lie is clear — (to suggest) that there are no heroes among the Sunnis who can hurt America as no else did in history. Iranian media snapped up this lie and repeated it," he said.

Al Qaeda has previously claimed responsibility for the Sept. 11 attacks

So much for others belief in conspriracy theories that the US or Israel committed 9/11.   This from the horses mouth.  I wonder if those adamant posters on this site about conspiracy theories will now admit they were in error or will they continue spreading hate, discontent and lies.

Greg lost his battle with cancer last week on April 2nd 2009. RIP Greg. We miss you.
