My local gun shop sells stuff for modern guns that works just fine in a .32 cal smoke pole. There are modern jags for 32 caliber cartridge guns like the 32-20 and 32 Win Spl. I have obtained surprising accuracy using plain old cotton flannel 22 rim fire cleaning patches for the patches around the .310 ball. I made my own ball starter with a piece of brass rod from the hardware store and a wooden ball from the craft store. I found a great little plastic funnel for powder at a kitchen specialty shop and use an empty 38 S&W shell for a powder measure. Knock out the primer and screw an eyelet in the hole at the bottom.
