Bob, I know it's apples and orenges, but I've always been fond of fruit baskets!
I have a Browning 1886, 26" barrel. I believe them to be made in the same factory with the same component's as the new Winchesters, so maybe we're not that far off. It is an Excellent Shooter! In fact, just this past weekend, I let four different people shoot it after a cowboy match. Nothing formal, just a little extra burning of powder after the match. All four competent (not great, but competent) shooters, 5 rounds apiece (all the ammo I had), the target, a piece of steel 10" x 10" at 165 yards (lazer range finder), I described to each the sight picture for 100'. The target was hit 15 of 20 times.
